    Mineola, NY – Tova Plaut, candidate for County Legislator in District 7, and Carrié Solages, Legislator for District 3, hosted a protest today on Bayview Avenue, Inwood, just around the corner from the former Nassau County Public Works facility that has been reported as a potential location for the new casino.

    Mineola, NY – Responding to ongoing revelations that a new OTB Video Lottery Casino will be built in Nassau County, Jim Paymar, candidate for County Legislator in District 6, is demanding his opponent, William Gaylor, stake a public position on the casino.

    Paymar’s stance on the new casino is clear. “I believe it is unacceptable and irresponsible of our elected officials to propose and build unwanted casinos in Nassau County, especially without community approval,” Paymar said.

  • Plaut hosting protest against OTB Casino

    Mineola, NY – Tova Plaut, the Democratic challenger for County Legislator in District 7, will host a rally to protest the casino that is rumored to be planned for the Five Towns. The rally is planned for October 25, 2015 at 2:00 and will take place at 547 Bayview Avenue, Inwood, NY 11096.

     

  • EILEEN NAPOLITANO CONFRONTS LEGISLATURE ON CASINO LOCATION, PRESIDING OFFICER REFUSES TO REVEAL INFORMATION

    Mineola, New York – Legislative candidate Eileen Napolitano addressed the Nassau County Legislature on Monday and confronted Presiding Officer Norma Gonsalves about her failure to inform the public about where the new OTB Casino will be located.

    Eileen, who is running to replace Gonsalves as the Legislator for District 13 stated: “Ed Mangano has announced that a casino will open somewhere in the early part of 2016 and so my question is, where are the locations? Why haven’t the locations been disclosed?"

    Mineola, NY. -- Eileen Napolitano, a political newcomer, announced today that she is seeking term limits for Nassau County Legislators.

    Napolitano is running against Norma Gonsalves, the current legislator for District 13 and the Legislature's Presiding Officer.
