Robert Troiano
Robert Troiano, Jr. (D-Westbury) is serving his first term in the Nassau County Legislature. He represents the second legislative district which includes portions of Hempstead, West Hempstead, Westbury, East Meadow, East Garden City and Uniondale.
Robert is the ranking member of the Minority Affairs Committee and the Villages, Town and Cities Committee in addition to serving on the Government Services and the Health & Services Committees.
Prior to his election to the Legislature, Robert was a Councilman in the Town of North Hempstead for six years. As a member of the Town Council, he used his professional skills and focused on proposals to promote economic development and affordable housing for the residents of New Cassel. A Town sponsored revitalization project in Robert’s district was cited by Hofstra University as a model of suburban redevelopment. In 2010 the Town of North Hempstead will begin construction of a community center that will provide services to children, teens and adults for generations to come. The facility will include television and recording studios as well as social, educational and recreational activities.
