Michael Pesce was born and raised in Massapequa, lived in Farmingdale for 4 years after college, and currently lives in Massapequa with his wife Samantha and their children Paul and Bobby. As a lifelong Massapequa and Farmingdale resident, Michael is intimately familiar with and deeply imbedded in the local community.
Michael was brought up through the Massapequa School System, attending Unqua Elementary, Berner Middle School, Ames, and Massapequa High School. He then went on to attend Hofstra University, receiving both an academic and an athletic scholarship playing soccer. Michael graduated from Hofstra with a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration, double majoring in Finance and Marketing.
Professionally, Michael’s career has consisted of working for three Fortune 500 companies, including ADP, Boston Scientific, and Intuitive, where he has spent the past 5 years. As a Clinical Sales Representative at Intuitive Michael is responsible for training and supporting surgeons and hospital staff in their use of Intuitive’s DaVinci Surgical System, a robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgical system. Additionally, Michael has always been an entrepreneur, and in 2015 he obtained his NYS Real Estate Salesperson License, and has been successfully building that business ever since. Most recently, in 2018 Michael’s team was the #1 producing team in Douglas Elliman’s Massapequa Park office.
Michael is running for Nassau County Legislature of the 12th District because he feels compelled to do his part in ensuring that the current residents of Nassau County, as well as their children and future generations of Nassau County, will have a life that is full of opportunity and possibilities; Not one that is burdened by poor decisions and wasteful spending by our local government. To accomplish this Michael will fight to ensure that property taxes do not increase, and advocate for responsible, thoughtful, and transparent government spending that does not create future debt issues, but rather promotes strong economic growth and well-paying employment opportunities for the residents of our local community and Nassau County. Furthermore, Michael will fight to end all threats to our community both now and in the future, such as drug problems and the destruction of our environment. Michael will fight to preserve and where necessary restore, our beaches, parks, waterways, lakes, the Great South Bay, Massapequa Preserve, etc. that all make living on Long Island so special. Lastly, Michael promises to always advocate for investments that will benefit the community and our neighborhoods both now and, in the future, such as education, athletics, clubs, and other activities and organizations that benefit the children of our neighborhoods.
