Eve Lupenko-Ferrante sets herself apart from other candidates with her devotion to Glen Cove, having been extremely involved with community service. She is currently vice president of the Chamber of Commerce, and is also a board member of the Community Scholarship Fund, Glen Cove C.A.R.E.S., the Glen Cove Arts Council and the Slayer Players Theatre Company, and enjoyed volunteering on Glen Cove’s 350th Birthday Committee. In the past she was proud to have served on the boards of the East Island Association and the Glen Cove YMCA, and has held two mayoral-appointed positions on the CDA (Community Development Agency) and the Charter Review Commission.
After graduating college from the University of Virginia’s exclusive Echols Scholars program, she attended medical school at Stony Brook University where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She is married with two children and two stepchildren ages 17-21. Dr. Lupenko-Ferrante is a Board-certified dermatologist affiliated with Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital and Glen Cove Hospital. Professional associations include the American Academy of Dermatology and the Long Island Dermatological Society. She gives lectures and free skin cancer screenings to several local organizations, most recently to Nassau County employees and the constituents of Legislator Josh Lafazan, and is a medical expert seen on television and with Anton newspapers. Recent awards include Power Women in Business 2018 from The Long Island Press and New Business of the Year 2018 by The Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Lupenko-Ferrante is a candidate for City Council on the Team Tenke ticket which is endorsed by the Democratic Party and the Working Families Party. In addition to being a proponent of fiscal discipline and infrastructure improvements, her basic message is that she wants the residents of Glen Cove to live happier, healthier lives. With her commitment to Glen Cove over the past 27 years and her outstanding background as a medical professional, she vows to listen to the citizens and continue to act in a manner that promotes personal wellness and the environment.
