Danielle Fugazy Scagliola resides in Glen Cove, NY with her husband Tommy Scagliola and their four children. Danielle is a journalist, covering mergers and acquisitions, private equity, lending and the bond market. She originally started her career writing for Thomson Reuters and now is a freelance journalist, writing regularly for trade publications and creating custom content for clients in the financial services sector.
Danielle is President of the Glen Cove Education Foundation and has raised more than $100,000 since its inception and was the driving force behind the new playground built at Deasy School in 2017. In 2017, Glen Cove School District’s PTA Council gave Danielle the honor of being a Diamond Club Award Winner Recipient, which is given annually to a select number of people who make a difference in the school system.
Danielle has also served on the Board of The Business Improvement District in Glen Cove since 2016. The B.I.D. advocates for downtown businesses and property owners as well as puts together special events like Downtown Sounds. Danielle is also on the Community Development Agency for the City of Glen Cove, which works to rehabilitate residential and commercial sectors of the city. Additionally, she coaches her youngest daughter’s softball team and is active with youth sports with multiple kids playing on multiple sports teams in Glen Cove. Danielle is a graduate of University of Massachusetts. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending time with my family and friends.
Her husband Tommy is a director at Barclays Bank. Danielle and Tommy are very happy to be raising their family in the city of Glen Cove—three of their children attend Glen Cove City Schools, with their youngest in nursery school at North Shore Day School.
