Nassau Dems Rally for Jobs and Worker's Rights

Hundreds of people gathered in Mineola today to rally in support of union rights and to protest the sweeping layoffs that Ed Mangano has proposed. Cuts to the workforce in Nassau County will hurt our local economy. They will hurt the quality of government services here, and they will hurt our neighbors, our friends and our family members who depend on union jobs and the protections they provide. There's no arguing that times are tough right now, but we will only hurt our economy further by laying off workers and cutting services to the people who need them most.
